Kick Drops are in-game rewards for watching Kick streams in a game category with an active campaign. To get them, link your game account (for Rust, that's Steam via kick.facepunch.com), watch a stream tagged Drops Enabled until you reach the required time, and press Claim on kick.com/drops. The first campaign launched in November 2025 with Rust, and other publishers now run drops too.
What Kick Drops are and which games have them
- Rust (Facepunch) is the first and best-known drops game: skins for doors, boxes and weapons. In the June 2026 Kick Off 2 campaign, the three rewards required 2, 4 and 6 hours of watching.
- According to the campaign list on kick.com, by November 2026 drops had also been offered for VALORANT and League of Legends (Riot Games), PUBG: Battlegrounds (KRAFTON) and Counter-Strike 2 tournaments through the Kolex platform.
- Kick runs its own campaigns with badges and chat emotes, which need no game account.
- Don't confuse drops with Daily Rewards: that's a daily reward for an hour of watching any streams, also emotes and badges.
The game list changes from campaign to campaign, so check current dates and rewards at kick.com/drops/campaigns.
If you stream Rust or another drops game yourself, keep in mind that during a campaign the category fills up with Drops Enabled channels, and Kick sorts them by viewer count. To keep a new stream from sinking to the bottom, you can add starting Kick live viewers from $0.06 per 1000 ($0.24 for an hour), no password needed. Kick's rules prohibit artificial activity, so keep volumes moderate.
How to link your account for Kick Drops
- Rust: go to kick.facepunch.com/connect, sign in with Steam and with Kick, accept the permissions and click Activate Drops. If you signed up for Kick with Google, finish your account setup and pick a username first.
- Other games: on kick.com/drops open the Connections tab or the Connect button on a campaign. Kick sends you to the publisher's site (your Riot or KRAFTON account and so on).
- Each Kick account links to one game account per game. If you linked the wrong one, click Unlink and connect again.
How to watch so your drops count
- Log in to Kick and open a stream in the game category marked Drops Enabled.
- Some rewards only drop on specific streamers' channels; the campaign description lists them.
- Progress counts for one active channel only, so extra tabs don't speed it up.
- Your watch time carries over if you switch to another stream in the same category.
- Track your progress on kick.com/drops.
Where to claim Kick Drops rewards
- Once you reach the watch time, a Claim button appears on kick.com/drops. Claimed items are listed under Claimed (kick.com/drops/claimed).
- For Rust, Facepunch says the item shows up in your Steam inventory within 10 minutes. If it isn't there after 30 minutes, relink your accounts and click Check For Missing Drops on kick.facepunch.com.
- Don't wait too long: after a campaign and its grace period end, you can't claim the reward, and Rust drops claimed more than 180 days ago can no longer be redeemed in Steam.
Why Kick Drops aren't arriving
- Your game account isn't linked, or a different Steam account is: without a link, Claim returns an error.
- You don't own Rust on Steam: you can claim the drop on Kick, but the item arrives only after you buy the game.
- The stream has no Drops Enabled tag, is in another category, or the reward is tied to other streamers.
- The campaign hasn't started yet or has already ended.
- Privacy extensions interfere with the site: Facepunch suggests trying both a browser and the mobile app.
Kick vs Twitch drops, and drops on your own stream
Twitch Drops are a separate system with their own linking and progress: watching on Kick doesn't count toward them, and vice versa. Other differences between the platforms are covered in Kick or Twitch.
Streamers usually don't need to "turn on" drops: in open campaigns it's enough to stream in the right category during the campaign dates, and according to guides based on Kick's documentation, you can opt out in your settings. In allowlist campaigns, the publisher picks participating streamers. Drops bring viewers into the category, but only your content keeps them; see how to get viewers on Kick. To make sure drop hunters land on a channel that looks alive, you can grow your base with Kick followers at $1 per 1000 with a 30-day refill.
