You can see your TikTok watch history in the Activity center: Profile → three lines → Settings and privacy → Activity center → Watch history. It lists the videos you watched over roughly the last 180 days, lets you filter them by date and delete them one by one or all at once. Profile view history is a separate feature: it shows who visited your page, not what you watched.
Where is watch history on TikTok in 2026
Watch history used to sit in settings under Content and activity. TikTok later moved it to the Activity center, a section that collects your actions in the app. According to 2025–2026 guides, the path is:
- Android: Profile → ☰ (three lines, top right) → Settings and privacy → Activity center → Watch history.
- iPhone: the same path; in some versions Activity center sits inside the Content and display block.
- In some builds Activity center (clock icon) appears directly in the ☰ menu, without opening settings.
Menu names depend on your app version and interface language. If you can't find it, update TikTok and use the search bar at the top of Settings and privacy — type "history".
How to view your TikTok watch history step by step
- Open the Profile tab in the bottom right corner.
- Tap ☰ and go to Settings and privacy.
- Choose Activity center → Watch history.
- Scroll the grid: the most recently watched videos are at the top.
- To narrow it down, tap the date filter: Today, Yesterday, Last week or a custom range.
Another quick way to find a specific clip is search: type a keyword, open the filters and tick watched videos. Not every version has this filter, but when it's there it helps if you remember the topic rather than the date.
If you run your own account, it's worth scrolling your history with a creator's eye now and then: which videos did you watch to the end, and why? The same hooks work on your audience. And when a fresh upload needs a starting push, you can add the first views on our TikTok views page — from $0.14 per 1,000, no password needed. TikTok's rules are against artificial activity, so use it in moderation and only alongside strong content.
Can you see TikTok watch history on a computer
Full watch history is a mobile app feature. The tiktok.com web version doesn't mirror every section, and guides note that the complete 180-day list is only available in the app. On desktop you still have the Liked tab (for videos you liked) and Favorites on your profile.
If you need a copy of all your activity for your records, request it under Settings and privacy → Account → Download your data. The archive isn't ready instantly — the app will notify you when the file can be downloaded.
How to clear watch history and can you turn it off
- Open Watch history.
- Tap Select in the top right corner.
- Tick individual videos or tap Select all watch history at the bottom.
- Tap Delete and confirm.
Clearing history doesn't touch your likes, favorites or follows. According to reviews, current versions no longer have a switch that stops history from being recorded — it existed once but was removed. So the only way to keep the list clean is to delete it manually, while entries older than 180 days disappear on their own.
Keep in mind that clearing history is not the same as resetting recommendations. Your feed is shaped by many signals, and there is a separate Refresh your For You feed option in content preferences for a fresh start. How those signals work is explained in how the TikTok algorithm works.
Why is TikTok watch history empty or not working
- The video is older than 180 days and has already dropped off the list.
- The video was deleted by the creator or by moderation, so it disappears from history too.
- Outdated app — update TikTok in the App Store or Google Play.
- Sync glitch — log out and log back in.
- Bloated cache — Settings and privacy → Free up space → clear cache.
- Different account — history is tied to the account, not to the phone.
Watch history vs profile view history: what's the difference
These are two different features. Watch history is the list of videos you watched, and only you can see it. Profile view history shows who visited your page in the last 30 days, works only when both sides have it on and isn't available to every account — details in how to see who viewed your TikTok profile. There is also a third setting, post view history, which shows who watched your videos in the last 7 days.
For creators these are useful signals: if visitors come by but don't follow, the problem is usually the profile — an unclear bio, no pinned videos or a follower count that looks too modest. You can build a starting base with TikTok followers from ads — $6 per 1,000, up to 300 a day, no password. And to see where viewers come from and where they drop off, keep an eye on your TikTok analytics.
