You can stream on Kick from your phone with the official KICK – Go Live app (iOS and Android): sign in, set a title and category, and tap the green button. You don't need Partner status. The alternative is a third-party app (Prism Live Studio, Streamlabs, Larix) with the server URL and stream key from your creator dashboard.
Can you stream on Kick from a phone?
- Yes. KICK – Go Live is a separate app for broadcasting; the regular KICK app is for watching.
- Requirements per Kick's help center (October 2026): iOS 18 or later, Android 8.0 or later.
- It works for any account; you don't need Affiliate or Verified status.
- Your stream is saved as a VOD on your channel, just like a PC stream.
Your first phone streams will almost always start with zero viewers, and Kick's directory puts those streams at the very bottom. You can build a starting audience on the Kick viewers and followers page: live viewers from $0.06 per 1000 ($0.24 for an hour), followers at $1 per 1000. All we need is your channel link, no password. Kick's rules prohibit artificial activity, so order moderately and focus on real conversation.
How to stream with KICK – Go Live, step by step
- Install KICK – Go Live from the App Store or Google Play and allow camera and microphone access.
- Sign in with your Kick email and password or with Google/Apple; enter your code if 2FA is on.
- Set the title, category (IRL, Just Chatting, a game) and content labels right in the app.
- Tap the green circle button and confirm.
- While live, you can turn on both cameras at once (not available on some Android devices) or share your screen.
One important limitation: chat in Go Live is read-only. Reply by voice or keep kick.com open on a second device.
How to stream on Kick with Prism Live or Streamlabs
- Open dashboard.kick.com/channel/stream (or kick.com/settings/stream) and copy the Stream URL and Stream Key. The server address looks like rtmps://…global-contribute.live-video.net:443/app; take it from your own dashboard.
- In the app, choose Custom RTMP: in Prism, LIVE → Ready → "+" next to Set Destination; in Streamlabs, menu → Account Settings → Custom RTMP.
- Paste the URL and key, save, and tap Go Live.
- With this method, set your stream title and category beforehand on the Kick website in your creator dashboard.
Your key is the password to your stream, so never show it on screen. If it leaks, click Reset in the dashboard and update it in the app.
How to stream mobile games on Kick
- In Go Live, turn on screen sharing; in Prism, choose Screen instead of Camera, then open your game.
- Your whole screen goes live, so turn on Do Not Disturb to keep notifications, 2FA codes and personal data off stream.
- Per Kick's help center, in Go Live on iOS the camera turns off while you share your screen. If you need a face cam over the game, use a PC with OBS.
- For fast games, use 60 fps if your phone and connection can handle it.
Which settings to use: bitrate, resolution, connection
- Keep your bitrate below half your upload speed. Kick's maximum is 8000 kbps.
- Guidelines from Kick's Go Live help: 720p30, 2500–4500 kbps; 720p60, 3500–5000; 1080p30, 4500–6000; 1080p60, 6000–8000.
- For IRL streams on the move, Kick recommends 720p as more stable than 1080p.
- On iOS you set quality manually; on Android, Smart Streaming picks it automatically (up to 1080p and 8000 kbps).
- Turn on Disconnect Protection in your creator dashboard (Stream URL & Key → Advanced Settings): if your connection drops, viewers see a holding screen for up to 60 seconds instead of an offline channel.
IRL streaming from a phone: battery, sound, stabilization
- Bring a power bank for any stream longer than 30 minutes: streaming drains the battery fast and heats the phone.
- Stabilization: iOS has a software option, but a gimbal is better for walking and a tripod for talk streams.
- Sound: Go Live has no mic selector yet, but Bluetooth earbuds and headsets are supported. A windscreen helps outdoors.
- Don't show your home, license plates or your exact route in real time.
