To change your Kick profile picture on a phone, open kick.com in your mobile browser, not the app: tap your avatar in the top right → Settings → Profile → Edit Avatar. According to Kick's help center, profile and security settings can only be changed on the website. You change your username there too, but no more than once every 60 days and only with two-factor authentication turned on.
How to change your Kick profile picture on a phone
- In Chrome or Safari, open kick.com/settings/profile and log in.
- Tap Edit Avatar, then pick a ready-made Kick avatar or upload your own from the gallery.
- Requirements: at least 128×128 pixels, up to 4 MB, JPG, JPEG or PNG.
- Tap Confirm. If the app still shows the old picture, restart it.
Your avatar appears tiny in chat and on browse pages, so use a close-up face or a simple logo without small text.
A polished profile works better when it doesn't sit on zero followers: new viewers read an empty counter as "nobody's here". You can build a starting base on the Kick followers page for $1 per 1000 with a 30-day refill. All we need is your channel link, no password. Kick's rules prohibit artificial activity, so order moderately and keep streaming regularly.
How to change your Kick username and how often you can
- Turn on 2FA first (see below): without it, username changes are blocked.
- In Profile, find the Username field, enter the new name and confirm with the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
- Username rules: 4 to 25 characters, letters, numbers and underscores only, no two underscores in a row.
- Limit: once every 60 days. The same limit applies to changing your email.
On Kick your display name and channel username are essentially the same, and your channel address is kick.com/username. After a change, update your links on social media, in video descriptions and in OBS widgets. Choose carefully: you can only switch back after two months.
How to change your banner, bio and social links
- Channel banner (Edit Banner Image): at least 1280×700, up to 4 MB. Keep key elements centered, since edges get cropped on different screens.
- Offline banner (shown after your stream ends): 1920×1080, up to 4 MB. A good spot for your schedule.
- Bio: a short line about what and when you stream. It shows on your channel both live and offline.
- Social links take just the username, not the full URL, and appear below the player.
These fields also help when you apply for the Kick Partner Program: a complete channel looks more serious to viewers and to platform reviewers alike.
How to change your region, country and language on Kick
- Country is set at sign-up (the Where are you based? step). Kick's prompt says it's used to tailor content and isn't shown on your profile. As of November 2026 we couldn't find a separate country setting in the profile, so if it's wrong, contact support via help.kick.com.
- Payout country is set during Stripe verification and must match your documents; details are in how to withdraw money from Kick.
- Interface language is the Language item in the settings menu (English by default).
- Stream language is set in your stream info next to the title and category. Viewers filter browse pages by it, so set it correctly.
A VPN doesn't change your account country, and Kick's help center lists VPN extensions among the causes of login and loading errors.
How to turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) on Kick
- Open kick.com/settings/security.
- Turn on 2FA and scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator or similar).
- Enter the code from the app and store your backup details somewhere safe.
- Under Connections, remove any connected services you don't recognize: per Kick's help center, that can be a sign of a compromised account.
Kick never asks for your password in chat or by email, and legitimate promotion services don't need it either. Once your profile is ready, move on to your first stream with how to stream on Kick.
