On TikTok you need 1,000 followers and to be 18+ to go LIVE, and a personal account also needs 1,000 followers for a clickable bio link. The Creator Rewards Program requires 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in 30 days, but it isn't available in Ukraine — there, LIVE gifts are the main official income source.
How many followers do you need to go LIVE on TikTok?
The standard LIVE threshold is 1,000 followers and age 18+. TikTok's help pages note that requirements can vary by region, and some countries have a lower bar. If the LIVE button is missing even after 1,000 followers, check:
- the date of birth on your account — it must be 18+;
- your account status: guideline violations can temporarily block LIVE;
- your app version — update TikTok.

- Brand deals and affiliate links: no official minimum — niche and engagement matter.
What's available in Ukraine?
- LIVE and gifts — available. This is the only way to get paid directly by TikTok.
- Creator Rewards — not available. At the time of writing the program runs in the US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Mexico and Brazil.
- TikTok Shop — not launched in Ukraine; in Europe it operates in a number of EU countries and the UK.
- Sponsored content, affiliate programs, selling your own services — available without restrictions.

How to get your first 1,000 followers faster
- Pick one niche and post 1–2 videos a day in a consistent format.
- Make series — they turn viewers into followers better than one-offs.
- Pin your three best videos and say in your bio what followers will get.
- Reply to comments with video replies.

How to get viewers on your first LIVE streams
Unlocking LIVE is only half the job. The algorithm favours streams that already have people and activity, while an empty stream quickly loses impressions:
- announce the stream in advance in a video and in your bio;
- go live at the same time and stay on for at least 30–60 minutes;
- give people a reason to chat: Q&As, reviews, PK battles.
