Short answer: according to industry analysts, the Creator Rewards Program pays roughly $0.40–1.00 per 1000 qualified views, and up to a few dollars in narrow high-retention niches. There are three caveats: not every view is paid, the rate depends heavily on where viewers are, and the program runs in only a few countries, Ukraine not among them. Below is how the payout is calculated, who can join and how to earn if the program is not available to you.
How TikTok pays for views
The old Creator Fund, which paid a few cents per 1000 views, has closed. It was replaced by the Creator Rewards Program, where income is calculated by RPM — revenue per 1000 qualified views. TikTok does not publish a fixed rate: RPM depends on the niche, viewer country, retention and how attractive the video is to advertisers.
- Counted: views from the For You feed on original videos longer than one minute. Creators report that a viewer must watch for at least a few seconds.
- Not counted: short videos, unoriginal content and artificial views.
- Videos posted before you joined the program are not paid.
What it means in money
- 100,000 qualified views — about $40–100.
- 1 million qualified views — about $400–1000.
- Audiences outside the US and Western Europe — creators report rates as low as a few cents per 1000.
These are benchmarks from public data, not a guarantee. Your real RPM is only visible in the Creator Rewards section of TikTok Studio: divide a video's earnings by its views and multiply by 1000.
Who can join Creator Rewards
- age 18 or older;
- at least 10,000 followers;
- at least 100,000 views in the last 30 days;
- a personal account from a country where the program runs. According to public data these are the US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Mexico and Brazil; the list changes.
The program is officially unavailable in Ukraine. Options for Ukrainian creators are covered in how to earn on TikTok in Ukraine.
How creators earn on TikTok without Creator Rewards
- Brand deals and integrations. For most creators this is the main income: a brand pays for a video or series and looks at average views and engagement.
- LIVE gifts. Viewers send gifts during a stream. Going live usually requires 1000 followers, and receiving gifts requires being 18+. How to prepare is covered in how to go live on TikTok.
- Your own products and services. A profile brings clients to consultations, courses and a shop.
- Affiliate links. A commission on purchases through your link.
In every case, reach among real people is what makes money. Brands and buyers also look at the numbers under your videos, so some creators add TikTok views from $0.14 per 1000 to a new video. That is social proof, not reach: TikTok's recommendations are built on watch-through, rewatches, saves and shares from real viewers.
How to reach income faster
- If Creator Rewards is the goal, make videos longer than a minute: shorter ones are not paid.
- Hold attention in the first 2–3 seconds: it drives both reach and the number of qualified views.
- Choose topics advertisers care about: finance, tech, education, product reviews.
- Post regularly and compare videos by average watch time. A detailed plan is in how to become popular on TikTok.
Start promoting
Ads bring a real audience, while panel services only change the visible numbers:
- A real audience: Promote and Spark Ads show your video to target people. Budgets are covered in TikTok advertising in Ukraine.
- Numbers on a new video: TikTok views from $0.14 per 1000.
- Profile numbers: followers from $3 and likes from $0.40 per 1000.
Important: boosted views are not qualified views and do not increase your Creator Rewards payout. They work only as social proof, don't guarantee reach, and TikTok's rules prohibit artificial activity — drops and restrictions are possible. Money comes from a real audience. All services are on the buy TikTok followers, likes and views page.
