Why a new WhatsApp Channel needs followers

WhatsApp launched Channels in 2023: a one-way feed in the Updates tab where brands, creators and media post news to their audience. The follower count is shown on the channel page and in the channel directory, and a channel with a dozen followers makes people hesitate before joining. A starting base keeps a new channel from looking abandoned when you begin inviting customers through your website, newsletter or product packaging. How many followers to order

A few hundred followers is usually enough for a new channel not to look empty. After that, add followers in batches as your real audience grows rather than ordering 10,000 at once: a big number with no reactions under posts looks suspicious. Publish at least a few posts before ordering so new visitors have something to read.

WhatsApp rules and risks

WhatsApp's rules prohibit artificial activity, so the platform may remove some followers or restrict a channel. We monitor the option and fix or switch it off if customers report drops, but we do not guarantee results or any effect on recommendations, and bought followers do not count toward monetization.
